Aston Villa and BK8 sign a sponsorship agreement.

With the signing of a contract, BK8 will sponsor Aston Villa Football Club's front-of-shirt (FOS) apparel.

The agreement stipulates that charitable contributions will be made as part of the agreement, and it is good for the next three seasons, or until the conclusion of the 2025–2026 season.

For the past two years, BK8 has collaborated with mental health groups to raise awareness.

BK8 EMEA Managing Director Michael Gatt discussed the brand's charity objectives, saying: "We are incredibly happy to be able to announce our support for local charities as part of our exciting new partnership with Aston Villa.

"We want to be involved with a prestigious institution, which is what Aston Villa Football Club is, in large part because we want to be able to give something back to the supporters for their dedication." 

As a company that has been involved in football for a while, we have made a commitment to collaborating closely with our partners' community outreach programmes and making sure we keep up our efforts to meet our goals in this regard.

"With this partnership with BK8, we look forward to exciting collaborations together that will help to grow both brands, particularly within Southeast Asia," an Aston Villa representative stated.

The agreement was reached after Premier League teams decided to forgo FOS gaming sponsorship before to the release of the UK's White Paper on gambling regulation.

Since the ban will take effect in the 2026–2027 season, Aston Villa can proceed with the transaction with BK8.

Villa's CEO, Christian Purslow, expressed his dissatisfaction with the decision in public earlier this year, emphasising that clubs outside the "big six" have a harder time competing financially. He said, "The commercial reality is that to teams outside the top six, such sponsors offer clubs twice as much financially as non-gambling companies."
